About Us

Electronic Communications Inc. is a third-generation family-owned business with a rich history dating back to its incorporation in August 1972. Founded by Clyde Kendrick, it started as a sound system contract and design business. Under Mr. Kendrick’s leadership, ECI quickly gained a strong reputation as a trusted company within the community and surrounding areas.

Over the years, Electronic Communications Inc. expanded its services to meet the low voltage system needs of various sectors, including businesses, K-12 schools, colleges, government facilities, and nursing homes. Their offerings encompass a range of systems, including sound systems, sound masking, access control, intercommunications, life safety systems, nurse call systems, and rescue assistance systems.

A significant milestone for the company occurred on June 24, 2015, when Electronic Communications Inc. transitioned into a woman-owned business under the leadership of Mary Lewey, who assumed the role of President. Mary Lewey is the daughter of the company’s founding owner, Clyde Kendrick. Her extensive experience within the company, starting in 1983, allowed for a smooth leadership transition.

As a third-generation family-owned corporation, Electronic Communications Inc. remains dedicated to delivering high-quality services to its customers in a timely and cost-effective manner. Their longstanding presence in the industry and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of their clients reflect their ongoing success and reputation.
